SUMMARY:
-POSITION INFO:I am looking for a Mid to Senior Electrical Engineer to join my client as a Procurement Specialist in the Electrical and Instrumentation departmentThe company is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Engineer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for the projects they work on. Responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. The Engineer will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.Responsibilities: (not exclusive)
- Purchasing all related material for the Electrical and Instrumentation contracts
- Deal with the suppliers' lead times and advise accordingly
- Maintain all purchasing records
- B.Eng / B.Sc / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 5 - 10 years of experience in a similar position in procuring electrical components and instrumentation.
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in the appropriate software.
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
