• Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used on assigned projects meet the Clientxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s requirements and/or those issued.xc3x82
• Carry out electrical engineering work as required by the lead electrical engineer in accordance with the agreed project schedule.xc3x82
• Prepare general notes requisitions for electrical equipment on assigned projects.xc3x82
• Assists the designers with the preparation of electrical drawings on assigned projects.
• Set up and maintain electrical databases on assigned projectsxc3x82
• Specify and prepare material requisitions for electrical equipment on assigned projects.xc3x82
• Prepare all contract requisitions.xc3x82
• Prepare technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment on assigned projects.
• Review and approve supplier documents for electrical work on assigned projects.xc3x82
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s) and Site Acceptance Testsxc3x82 (SATxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s) for electrical equipment (or equipment with significant electrical content) on assigned projects
• Notify the Project Engineer of all deficiencies in the flow of data on assigned projects or other basic information required for execution of work.
• Provide progress report information on assigned projects, at the required frequency and with the required content, to the project Engineer.
• Follow up electrical Construction work on assigned projects sites to ensure correct interpretation of designs regarding installation.xc3x82
• Advise the Principal/ Senior Electrical Engineer of any slippages / deviations and their causes and proposed corrective action.
• Advise the Principal / Senior Electrical Engineer of any technical problems and unresolved differences with other groups.xc3x82
• Keep informed, by all possible means, of relevant technical developments in electrical industriesxc3x82
• Suggests ways to improve efficiency, costs and service in the execution of projects.xc3x82
• Assist where necessary in the compilation of operating manuals and mechanical catalogues.
• Provide electrical engineering support to the other engineering disciplines and to the construction department.
• Attend discipline specific and general training courses where requiredxc3x82
• Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Principal / Senior Electrical Engineer.
