Design, develop, and review detailed electrical engineering packages for various Oil & Gas facilities, residential utilities, and infrastructure upgrades
Conduct system studies, technical evaluations, and performance assessments including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Optimize power systems including overhead lines, transformers, generators, solar systems, battery chargers, motors, CP systems, and heat traces
Participate in power system studies using ETAP (Short Circuit, Load Flow, Arc Flash, Motor Starting, Relay Coordination)
Create and review electrical calculations for grounding, transformer sizing, battery systems, and load schedules
Develop SLDs, metering and protection schemes, motor schematics, lighting/grounding layouts, and automation architecture
Perform electrical audits and surveys related to DC systems, CP systems, and solar installations, proposing continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for high-voltage equipment including GIS/AIS switchgear, motors, UPS, cables, and panel boards
Mentor junior engineers, support department-wide energy efficiency programs, and contribute to the development of power reliability strategies
Ensure full compliance with international standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, ANSI, NACE, API), and propose cost-effective design solutions
xe2x9cx85 Qualifications:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
3xe2x80x935+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with hands-on experience in design, maintenance, and electrical system analysis
Strong working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and international electrical standards and best practices
IEEE membership is a strong asset
Proficient in electrical design software including ETAP
Excellent technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Fluent in English and well presented in professional settings
