Electrical Maintenance TechnicianKuils River, Cape Town
Salary: R22 000 basic negotiable on experienceA manufacturing company based in Kuils River is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to provide advanced technical support to the Electrical Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, system integration, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems in a heavy industrial environment.Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics
- Trade-tested in Instrumentation, Electrical or Millwright
- Qualification in Medium Voltage distribution and protection
- 5+ years' experience as a technician in a heavy industrial environment
- PLC and SCADA programming experience (Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC)
- Experience with Siemens Sinamics or Master Drives
- Experience in automation systems, industrial networking, and server maintenance
- Experience with medium voltage reticulation, transformer maintenance, and VFDs
- Strong understanding of RCAT, WCM or similar programs
- Design and implement improvements to electrical control systems
- Plan and support new installations and electrical projects
- Train electricians on new installations and standards
- Enforce safety standards and procedures
- Assist in troubleshooting and ensure minimal production disruption
- Support maintenance strategy and equipment reliability
- Participate in breakdown and failure analysis
- Recommend and manage minor project budgets
