They are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a dynamic team in Durban.DBN| Permanent | NegotiablePOSITION INFO:
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM xe2x80x93 4:00 PMYouxe2x80x99ll be responsible for detailed electrical design, solar system optimization, and ensuring successful execution from concept to commissioning.This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a solid electrical background, solar experience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for solar PV systems, including switchgear, DBs, and full electrical layouts.
• Use Helioscope (or equivalent) to generate panel layouts and optimize inverter stringing and system performance.
• Design and specify battery storage solutions for hybrid and backup systems.
• Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and costing.
• Manage and follow through on SSEG applications alongside the PR Engineer, client, and admin team xe2x80x94 taking full responsibility until completion.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings and assist with technical handovers and commissioning documentation.
• Collaborate across project, admin, and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and clear communication.
• Ensure all designs meet SANS, NRS, and other local compliance standards.

What Wexe2x80x99re Looking For:

• Electrical Engineering qualification or Electrical Technician with relevant solar experience.
• Proficiency in solar PV system design and layout tools (e.g., Helioscope, PV*Sol, AutoCAD).
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, inverter matching, and string configurations.
• Experience with or understanding of SSEG application processes (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to work after hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.
• A self-starter with a collaborative and professional approach.
