The TAR Electrical Artisan within the ALLISA organization is responsible for the effective turnaround maintenance and execution of ASU plant maintenance during planned outages to ensure availability and reliability of equipment. Roles & Responsibilities include, but not limited to
Compile and maintain TAR QCP records management files, QCPs timeously and accurately. (ready for next TAR on spanner date) (scanning in of documentation directly after start-up)
Ensure that the relevant documentation required by the TAR team / service providers are in place and up to date.
Communication between Technicians / running plant foreman when discrepancies are identified / if documentation is required)(service provider to assist if required)
QC of record management files and QCPs on a weekly basis to confirm that service provider adheres to program and QCP standards.(signing off of work done by service providers when satisfied of work performed)
Ensure that pre TAR. Inspections, plant walk downs are done with running plants and TAR Forman prior to scoping of the next TAR. capturing opportunity work needed by the running plant and confirming relevant spares are available for execution of said opportunity work. ( ordering of spares from, load notifications)(Service provider to assist if required
Assist in Execution of shutdown work as per program, (Shared responsibilities with service providers and peers.) with fault finding, projects, efficiency improvements
Isolation/ Energize of equipment and fault finding on electrical equipment
Fault Finding on light/ Plugs and the repair of it
Maintenance of all electrical and related equipment
Able to do maintenance and fault finding
Implementation of modifications
Ability to read wiring diagram
Perform standby duties
Effectively interface and support the production departments
Ensure maximum contribution towards achievement of the
business TAR execution
Contribute towards creating motivated teams within and
outside the discipline)
Ensure safety on area of responsibility
Manage and control spares
Perform modifications where necessary
Knowledge and Know-how specific to the job
Must have a strong knowledge and understanding Health and Safety rules, regulations and processes
Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of Statutory Governance Requirements (Trips and alarms, loop checks, functions checks and fault finding)
Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance practices and procedures and shutdown procedure management
Following specific scope: Scheduling, spares identifying, spares handling including tracking, execution of program.
Assist with technical queries encountered during task executions. (Datasheet deviations, installation queries, fault finding)
Ensure all work done is executed to Air Liquide standards: Timer Calibration, Installation, Function checks, Trip and alarms.
Communicate, follow up and implement any deviations and/or decisions made by the plant owner.
Self-driven and motivated for a TAR environment where to partake in all aspects of the TAR: From pre-planning to execution to closing out. Prior to deadlines
Identify shortcomings in information, communicate and drive for solutions and implement decisions

Guide contractors as per scope and execution thereof and perform quality control of executed work to Air Liquide standards

N3 to N5 National Certificate
Red seal/Trade test in electrical trade
Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience as a Maintenance Artisan and TAR environment
Years of experience necessary will depend on the complexity of the work area and technology
Turnaround/G.O experience within heavy industry required
First line Fault Finding, Function checks, Trip and Alarms
Supervisory background as to manage service providers regards to scheduling and signing off on planned work together with daily scheduling of priority work to be performed
