Electrical Technician Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape R30 000 CTCA leading car battery manufacturer is looking for an Electrical Technician at their PE Factory to provide electrical engineering and technical services to support operational targets, ensuring optimal availability and safety within the area of responsibility.Key Performance Areas:

• Perform daily reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance routines.
• Diagnose and repair faults across the site, conducting Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure completion of all maintenance-related job cards.
• Maintain machine process capabilities, PLCs, and robots.
• Provide ad hoc technical support as needed.
• Operate within controls and procedures to ensure operational integrity.
• Identify and report risks or areas of concern.
• Ensure compliance with regulations to prevent wasteful expenditure.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
• Identify and solve problems with integrity in line with core values.
• Promote effective and transparent use of resources.
• Control expenditure within budgetary limits and financial guidelines.
• Explore opportunities to control and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Trade Test
• Minimum N6

Experience:

• 8 years' experience in the field
• At least 3 years at Technician level, working with PLCs and drives
• Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite)
• Proficiency in PLCs and robots
• Familiarity with ERP Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Action-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Planning and organizing abilities
• Customer-focused and resilient
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
