Job Description

Our client (involved in the cold storage industry) is urgently seeking a qualified Electrician for a 3-month, fixed-term contract.Duties & Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with electrical codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical projects.
Diagnose electrical malfunctions and perform troubleshooting to identify and fix issues.
Install, test, and maintain electrical panels, switchboards, and control systems.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems and recommend upgrades when necessary.
Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete construction, installation, and repair work efficiently.
Keep accurate records of all work completed, including maintenance logs and reports.
Adhere to company safety protocols.
Conduct safety inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.Desired Experience & Qualifications
Education: N3 or Grade 12.
Certification: Trade Test Certificate; must be a certified Electrician.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and control panels.
Problem-solving: Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical issues.
Code Compliance: Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
Tools & Equipment: Proficient in using hand tools, testing equipment, and power tools specific to electrical work.
Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy to work with control systems and documentation software.
