Job Description

An Electrician oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role involves managing a team of electricians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that electrical projects are completed efficiently and on time.

Requirements:

Grade 12 with relevant qualification Must be Trade Tested - Red Seal 12 years relevant experience in a related role within the HVAC environment and experience in leading a team Must be able to work in a fast paced and high performing environment.
Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, machinery and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure longevity and efficient operations of electrical systems Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic equipment Regularly inspect electrical systems, circuits and equipment to identify potential hazards or malfunctions Report any electrical problems, safety concerns or potential risks to the Maintenance Manager or relevant personnel Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment Ensure compliance with local and state electrical codes and regulations Collaborate with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production personnel to ensure seamless operations Respond promptly to electrical emergencies or breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment
