:
Formulate electronic system specifications and designs to meet client requirements and design standards
Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and engineers to integrate electronic systems into projects
Utilize CAD software and engineering tools for design refinement
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new electronic system techniques
Maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications
Ensure electronic systems meet statutory, safety, reliability, and sustainability standards
Coordinate with project team for timely installation and commissioning within budget
Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
Conduct regular project team meetings and provide guidance and support
Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and changes in milestones
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 10 years' engineering experience required
Minimum 5 years post-professional registration should involve planning and implementing electronics systems in production environments
Knowledge of construction processes and standards, as well as experience with project management
Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role
Proficiency in industry-specific software or tools including CAD, BIM software or other engineering tools
Must have MS Office experience
Qualification:
BSc, BEng, or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering
Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
