Job Description
Electronic Design TechnicianElandsfonteinThe purpose is to analyse, build, modify, test, repair and maintain electronic circuits and circuit board assemblies including inventory management and equipment maintenance.Minimum requirements and experience:
- BTech or Diploma (Electronic Engineering)
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in electronic assembly manufacturing
- Good knowledge of electronic components.
- PCB layouts using CAD, Program and debug electronic circuits, assemblers and microprocessors.
Assist Design Engineers with the following:
- Drafting schematics and PCB layouts using CAD
- Specify and order components for a Bill of Materials
- Assemble, solder, configure, and test assemblies
- Test, fault-find, and repair assemblies
- Program and debug electronic circuits and assemblies (including microprocessors)
- Test and fault find with RF diagnostic systems.
- Maintain electronics laboratory (stock levels etc).
