PermanentPlease note if you are an internal employee on a fixed term contract please apply using an external candidate profile and not your employee profileMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo provide quality and safe clinical care to patients that present to the emergency centre through assessing, diagnosing, treating and disposition according to best practice standardsKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASProvide quality safe clinical care in the emergency centreAssist with teaching and co-ordinating clinical development programmes in the emergency centre to improve patient careAdhere to and to support the nursing staff in the application of triage in the emergency centreActively participate in company strategies e.g. PatientsFirst@MediclinicPartake in emergency centre quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives to ensure safe, quality patient care is delivered at all timesMaintain a minimum standard of emergency medical care knowledge and expertise at all timesREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: MB BCh/MB ChBDESIRED EDUCATION: Dip PEC, MPhilREQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Completion of internship and community service yearsDESIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience post community service year in emergency centre in private / public hospital. Interest in Emergency Medicine will be an advantage.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
