Job Description


The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for, amongst others, the following benefits within Omnia (SA and International):

  • Retirement Funding
  • Risk benefits.
  • Health Care
  • Disability Benefits
  • Funeral Plans
  • Dread
  • Employee Value Proposition
  • Any other Benefits
Qualifications
  • NQF Level 7 or 8 degree in business, commerce or human resources
  • FAIS accreditation (RE01) will be advantageous.
Experience
  • At least 7 years in the Employee Benefits industry
  • Experience in remuneration in a global organisation will be advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be required.
Duties
  • Communication to all stakeholders regarding these benefits, including employees, managers and Human Resources Business Partners. This includes taking ownership of the various Benefit Platforms.
  • The coordination of the benefit representative forums (e.g. Management Committee / Medical Aid Forum to be established)
  • Conduct Research i.e. Retirement and Health Care practices and trends, Benefit design, etc Review the benefits being offered by Omnia relative to market best practice and advise/recommend accordingly.
  • Evaluate and manage the services provided to Omnia by the relevant service providers.
  • Ensure that the most efficient and effective administration processes regarding benefits are in place.
  • Ensure that relevant stakeholders are adequately trained regarding benefit details and procedures.
  • Design and implement a communication and capacity building plan to ensure that all employees and line managers are aware and understand the benefits available to them.
  • Provide input towards policy design and implementation.
  • Oversee that processes and administration is completed timely, i.e. paperwork as it relates to various leaves of absence requests, disabilities, life, retirement, dread and funeral claims.
  • Ensures compliance of plans with legislation, stays current on regulations, and implements changes as necessary.
