We offer you the opportunity to establish yourself within a professional, corporate environment in the countryside.The Employee Liaison coordinator will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by maintaining a healthy relationship between the employer and operational employees at Grain Field Chickens Abattoir and Q-Pro Feeds (subsidiaries of VKB Group). This role entails risk identification, problem solving through effective worker forums, and ensuring employees' opinions are acknowledged and acted upon promptly.The successful candidate will be based at the GFC Head Office in Reitz.Qualifications required

  • Grade 12 or NQF Equivalent.
  • Formal Microsoft Training Certificate.
  • An HR-related certificate/ qualification will be a definite advantage.
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resource environment or people related area.
  • Proven experience of MS Office package.
Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Advocacy: Serve as the ambassador and voice for operational employees, ensuring that their concerns and opinions are acknowledged and addressed timeously.
  • Communication and Recognition: Establish and maintain effective communication lines for worker forums and create platforms for acknowledging employee contributions.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Schedule, facilitate, and document collaboration meetings between employees and management, as well as worker forum meetings with representatives, on a continuous basis.
  • Representative Management: Continuously evaluate worker forum representatives, facilitate the nomination and election of new representatives as needed.
  • Feedback Coordination: Schedule, coordinate, and document feedback meetings with Human Capital managers regarding issues arising from worker forums.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with relevant stakeholders to address issues and provide feedback to forum representatives on outcomes.
  • Wage Negotiation: Coordinate wage negotiation input and feedback between worker forums and the employer.
  • Dispute Support: Support employees during disputes and disciplinary enquiries, assigning worker forum representatives as necessary.
  • Reporting: Provide progress reports to the Employee Development Associate and Employee Experience team, aligning with the reporting structure of this position.
