Develop and execute Employee Relations for Enaex Africa.
Employee Relations reporting and Identifying, closing of gaps in the Employee Relations system.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with employee relations governance and processes: (e.g. disciplinary hearings, grievances, redundancies, industrial action, unfair labour practice, transfer of businesses, Bargaining Council, CCMA & labour court matters)
Understands the ER climate and challenges within the business and the potential impact.
Drives relationship and engagement management with key stakeholders (unions, management, employees, and external communities)
Represent the company in employer associations, e.g. NBCEA, etc.
Ascertains and communicates the impact of decisions and actions on wider employee relations, precedent setting, morale, and reputational risk.
Educates line management on legislation and policy application, and all updates.
Attends appeal hearings, senior level grievances and other employee relations meetings as advisor and to ensure procedural and substantive fairness.
Ensures that Disciplinary and Incapacity procedures are adhered to.
Consultancy and advisory support
BU support and delivery and execution of ER services to Enaex Africa
Sharing of expert knowledge to build capability in ER across the business.
Responsible for high level of training on ER principles, practices, and processes for HRBPs and line manager and supervisor Stable ER environment and high-level engagement with Stakeholders
Enaex Africa positions adequately articulated in employer associations.
Enaex Africa wage negotiation mandate successfully executed.
Management and facilitation of Employment Equity at Enaex Africa
Employee Relations conducted in accordance with legislation, codes of conduct and company policy. Compliance with procedural and substantive fairness requirements.
Ensure compliance with HR guidelines and regulations.
Compliance to legislation, procedures, and policy
Protection of the interests of both Enaex Africa and the employee and ensures values driven employee relations is fostered.
Degree in HR and or Law + relevant post graduate qualifications
10 years experience in Human Resources, in a unionized environment
10 years experience in managing Employee Relations function / service delivery.
Track record of successful Employee Relations delivery
Sound multi-functional stakeholder management and engagement abilities
Ability to engage at Exco level when necessary.
Travel in South Africa and Africa International Sites.
