Key Responsibilities:
o Perform a quantitative and qualitative analysis of workforce, policy regime and workplace environment to identify gaps and barriers.
o Develop and implement communication, awareness and consultation plan.
o Develop a multi-year EE plan with Affirmative Action measures and a timetable for policy review
o Develop and implement a tracking tool to generate trends on the Impact of EE strategies.
o Manage the expedited appointment process and deviations from policy of the University
o Monitor the effectiveness of equity interventions within the University about the EE plan.
o Generate reports from the internal system.
o Manage the process of consulting with stakeholders on the EEA2 regarding quantitative and qualitative aspects of the data.
o Seek VC approval and submit the report through the DoEL system.

Requirements:
o Honours degree in HRM or social sciences or related qualification
o 5-8 years of which 4 should have been spent as an HR Practitioner specializing in EE and Skills development.
o Demonstrated knowledge and experience of managing Employment Equity
o In depth knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and requirements
o Must be proactive in developing processes and programmes to drive the EE agenda within the university in a successful and sustainable manner
o Strong networking and negotiation skills
o Excellent facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
o Must have advance knowledge of how to navigate Excel in developing and producing spreadsheets and reports for the university.
