Energy Engineer
Job Description
Essence of the job:The Energy Engineers is responsible for Energy Efficiency:Collaborate with the engineering team to identify energy-saving opportunities and develop strategies to improve energy efficiency.Conduct energy audits and analyse electrical systems to identify areas of improvement and propose energy-efficient solutions.Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of energy-efficient electrical systems.Monitor and analyse energy consumption data, identify trends, and recommend measures to reduce energy waste.Stay updated with emerging energy-efficient technologies and industry best practices.Understand, monitor and identify opportunities through national and local distribution and generation authoritiesQualification:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering / BSc Hons.Minimum Requirements:At least 2 - 5 years' experience at a consulting firm and/ or industrial environment or 2 - 5 years' experience in the energy and industrial automation environment.Candidates with a master's degree in the field of energy efficiency would be advantageous.Familiarity with energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources, and sustainability principlesProficiency in PLC and SCADA programming, including ladder logic, HMI design, and data acquisition.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.Ideally someone from a Consulting background.
