Job Description
SUMMARY:
We are seeking the skills of a qualified artisan to fulfil the position of an Engineering Estimator, with 10 - 15 years' experience in the Heavy Engineering field.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 / N3 - Technical Drawing
- Qualified Artisan (Boilermaker / Fitter and Turner)
- Tertiary education or other relevant certifications will be an advantage
- Analyzing Information,
- Ability to Estimate,
- Planning, Data Center Experience,
- Job Cost Accounting Knowledge.
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, RFQ, specifications, drawings and related documents.
- Identifies cost centers, material, and time requirements by studying proposals,
- RFQ, specifications, and related documents.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepares project costing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Responsible for all estimates relating to method of manufacturing.
- Responsible for estimation of direct costs concerning manufacturing.
- Submit quotations.
- Liaison with customers.
- Analyse the cost of material (local and overseas)
- Analyse costs of sub- contractors.
- Any other reasonable duties required
