Job Description

RPO Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Foreman to join a leading mining company in the North West province.Responsibilities

• Oversee subordinates, coordinate, and carry out proactive and reactive maintenance in the workplace to ensure equipment availability and safe production continuity and legal compliance
• Legal responsibility in terms of 2.9.2 appointment of the MHSA
• Cost management and control
• Working knowledge of implementing maintenance strategies and root cause analysis and RCM principles
• Working knowledge of SHEQ standards and legislation
• Supervise and inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications and acceptable work practices and workmanship
• Ensure that the workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of a high standard and that special tools and equipment is well maintained
• Develop and implement improvements where necessary
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholder to ensure optimal performance

Requirements

• Grade 12
• N6 in Mechanical Engineering, National Diploma would be advantageous
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
• Supervisor/Foreman Certificate
• Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as Artisan in Open Cast Mining environment
• AMT PM and MM experience will be advantageous
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
