Responsibilities:

Ensure OHSACT compliance regarding machinery safety, boiler and refrigeration system statutory inspections, lifting equipment, major hazardous installations
Control monthly expenditure of engineering department.
Manage performance of subordinates through KPIxe2x80x99s, courageous talks and robust discussions on breakdowns
Manage the maintenance, breakdowns and asset reliability schedules and programs to achieve a high-level plant availability
Active participation in the plant audits as part of the Food safety council
Collaborate with Risk and Production managers to achieve environmental targets in plant, CO2, water, electricity, and coal.

Qualifications:

BTech/BEng Degree Mechanical or Electrical
Government Competency Certificate (Factories)
Minimum 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a FMCG factory in a similar role
Must have good working knowledge of OHS Act.
Good understanding of design codes and equipment integrity restoration practices
System and sub-system integration
Good understanding of CMMS (e.g. SAP) and applicable transactions
OHSA and relevant Regulations
