Engineering Manager - KZNFull job descriptionYoull be providing technical and management leadership to the engineering group, including Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Automation/Instrumentation teams.You will be responsible for setting the sites 5 year strategic capital plan with spend forecasting. Providing the site director with up to date spend vs budget reports on a monthly basis youll have full ownership of the CAPEX budget.We are a data led business so youll develop the site maintenance strategy, balancing predictive/preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, whilst introducing maintenance KPIs to improve overall performance. A robust site critical spares list and spares strategy will support this. Some of your key responsibilities:Youll develop and implement programmes to ensure compliance with group and country regulatory requirements - OHS Act, MHI, DMR etc. and to improve site HSE performance.You will network and develop external links to keep the business informed on the development of new technologies.Youll Develop a capital programme that balances high return projects with essential H&S, Quality and infra-structure requirements.You will be a key member of SLT (site leadership team) developing site goals in support of company 2036 vision and the local strategy.Youll introduce and develop new techniques for manufacturing improvement - lean manufacturing, statistical methods. What do I need to be successful in this role?Wed love you to hold a degree in an Engineering discipline.You have extensive managerial experience in engineering, maintenance and project management with a good understanding of the manufacturing process in a hazardous and flammable chemical processing environment (MHI).GMR certification and Six Sigma Black Belt would be advantageous.Youll have exposure to working with automated process control systems.You have excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of managing department budgets.Youve experience in the management of major capital projects.
