The Engineering Manager will report to the CEO and will have amongst others, the following duties and responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities:Administration: Compliance with Electrical Machinery Regulations and ElectricalInstallations Regulations, OHS act requirements and logbooks as required. Assisting administration and actively developing administration.Effective Project Execution: On time, to customers specification and within budget.Customers expectations need to be managed First Line Maintenance: Can be mechanical, electrical, or civil (NB. safety and competence must be fully established before operators work unsupervised.) Encouraging, coaching and enabling the production departments to become proactive contributors to the maintenance effort by attending to problems when they are small and routinely caring for equipment (i.e. cleaning, lubrication and condition monitoring).Housekeeping: Ensure that all workspaces, workshops and areas designated as in use by the workshop are clean, neat and tidy.Planned Maintenance: Establishing, and maintaining a comprehensive planned maintenance program on all production critical and safety critical machinery.Predictive Maintenance: Establishing and maintaining a program of measurement and monitoring which allows us to predict imminent failures with enough time to positively and sustainably act to prevent the failure from occurring.Production Manager Interface: Develop regular interaction with the individual production managers.Safety and Housekeeping: Incumbent to champion this in all areas.Qualifications & Experience:Matric/Grade 12An apprenticeship in an Engineering Trade with 5 years experience in operation and maintenance of machineryOR Engineering Diploma in either Mechanical or Electro Technical fields with at leastT3 or N5 qualification and 2 years experience in the operation and maintenance of machinery.Trade Tested as an artisan (non-negotiable).Skills and Competencies:Ability to develop peopleAdaptabilityInterpersonal skillsLeadership skillsProblem solving skillsStress management skillsTeamworkTime managementShould you meet the above requirements, please submit your application to applications@beier.co.zaClosing Date: Friday, 19th January 2024Job Type: Full-timeAbility to Commute:Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal (Required)Ability to Relocate:Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Relocate before starting work (Required)
