Job Title: Engineering Manager - Mining IndustryLocation: Mpumalanga, South AfricaRPO Recruitment's client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their mining operations in Mpumalanga. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the mining industry, with a strong background in managing engineering teams and overseeing project operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of mining processes and equipment.Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to optimize mining operations and improve efficiency
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Identify and address technical issues and recommend solutions to improve operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement new technologies and practices
• Manage and review engineering budgets and forecasts

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering
• GCC Mines & Works
• Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar position in the mining industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of mining processes, equipment, and regulations
• Ability to analyze complex technical information and make informed decisions
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
