The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two qualified individuals to render technical services and support in engineering maintenance and operations of a radio communication service.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3 year tertiary qualification (National Diploma) in Radio Communications, Electrical Engineering, Public Safety or relevant qualification; Compulsory registration with ECSA as an Engineering Technician; A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience . A valid Code B (or higher) driving license.
Recommendation Radiotrian artisan additional qualification.
Key Performance Areas Render technical services; Manage Radio Subscriber; Procure equipment spare part and control stock thereof; Administrate radio user interference and network affiliation; Research and development; Support Control Engineering Radio Technician with management of workshop.

RemunerationGrade A: R 353 013 per annum; Grade B: R 398 865 per annum; Grade C: R 451 587 per annum, (Salary will be determined based on post registration experience as per OSD prescribed).Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
