MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Scientific qualification in Agriculture. Preference being given to a post graduate degree in entomology or plant pathology.
3+ Years practical experience in the field
Proven MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.)
IT strengths particularly in MS Excel and similar programmes.
Analytical skills.
Ability to focus on detail.
Strong and ordered administrative capabilities.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, friendly disposition.
Be able to work independently and a good team player.
Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans.
Valid drivers license.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS INCLUDE:

Provide professional recommendations for the effective commercial control of agricultural pests and diseases on citrus.
Monitor pest and disease status throughout the year, advising farm (and marketing if required) management on risk and on market suitability.
Provide support to farm management to ensure effective pest and disease scout reporting.
Audit production pest and disease management.
Make proposals for and conduct relevant pest and disease field trials.
