The EHS Officer will be responsible for identifying risks, implementing safety programs, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, emissions, and hazardous materials.
  • Deliver safety training programs for employees and management on topics such as hazard identification, PPE use, and emergency response.
  • Monitor workplace conditions and recommend improvements to enhance safety.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of reports.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire safety and first aid procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness through campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
  • Keep up-to-date with EHS laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety role.
  • Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or HSE-related courses is a plus.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations.
Core Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to educate employees on safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.
