Estate & Trust Attorney

Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Estate & Trust Administrator to join their team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, extensive knowledge of estate and trust administration, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews and consultations for new estates and trusts
- Interpret wills, trust deeds, and financial statements
- Handle the registration, administration, maintenance, amendment, and deregistration of trusts (inter vivos and testamentary)
- Organize trustee meetings, draft resolutions, and prepare meeting minutes
- Liaise with the Master of the High Court to resolve queries efficiently
- Manage and submit tax returns to SARS
- Draft cash distribution statements and reconciliation reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, beneficiaries, heirs, and third parties
- 5 9 years of recent experience in estate and trust administration and dealing with the Master of the High Court
- LLB degree (essential)
- Certificate in Estate and/or Trust Administration (beneficial, but not compulsory)
- FISA accreditation (beneficial, but not compulsory)
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Legal Suite, Legal Ease, Standard Bank TPFA, Nedbank Corporate Saver
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
