About the Role:

As our new

Event Manager

, you will lead the planning and execution of meetings, incentives, and events for a diverse client portfolio. You'll be accountable for end-to-end event delivery, client relationship management, budget control, supplier negotiations, and process optimisation. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of a world-class M&E function in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage

end-to-end event delivery

: from brief to execution Develop and maintain strong client and supplier relationships Manage budgets, timelines, and critical paths across multiple events Negotiate the best rates and savings for clients Provide leadership and support to team members as needed Ensure all events are delivered in line with FCM's systems and standards Support the Business Leader with financial reporting and monthly targets Deliver outstanding client experiences, every time

What We're Looking For:

4+ years' experience

in event, conference, or incentive management Proven experience managing

offshore events, large-scale logistics

, and complex programs In-depth knowledge of

MICE products, destinations, and key suppliers

Comfortable delivering

hybrid and virtual events

(desirable) Strong understanding of

event operations and processes

Confident in Microsoft Office, with experience using

Cvent

(essential) Experience with

Wrike or other project management tools

(advantageous) A passion for client service, creative problem solving, and collaboration Degree in Event Management or relevant industry experience (preferred)
