A sports management organisation seeks to employ an Events Manager who will be responsible for planning, management and reporting on all the organisation's important sports dates / days and Corporate Events operations as well as managing relevant staff.
This role will oversee all aspects of event delivery and to ensure that the provisions of the Host Agreements and the Host Venue Agreement are delivered to the satisfaction of this reputable and globally known organisation.Essential requirements pertaining to the candidates qualifications and experience:
A Bachelors Degree in Marketing / Business / Events / Project Management (NQF 7) or an equivalent qualification.
A postgraduate qualification in Marketing / Business / Events / Project Management will be an advantage.
8 years experience in all aspects of developing and executing event strategies at a senior level.
5 years experience in operating at management level.
8 years experience in high-level communications including, but not limited to; internal written and verbal communication and dealing with external media.
3 years experience in organisational transformation.
5 experience in stakeholder management and networking
5 years experience in sports management is desirable.
Media management experience is essential
The role with report to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and also requires the successful candidate to have the ability and willingness to travel, work long hours, over weekends and public holidays where necessary.
