Job Description


The purpose of this position is to perform the essential job duties and functions listed below with the overall objective of consistently providing top-quality, non-technical administrative support and to maintain high standards of excellence, while ensuring solid customer relationships.

  • Work under direct supervision and perform a variety of clearly defined tasks and administrative functions, including written and verbal communication
  • Administer and maintain highly confidential and specialized information utilizing an in-depth understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and operations
  • Perform administrative duties to include phone coverage, meeting coordination (including catering, teleconferences and video conferences), report preparation, presentations, composing correspondence for signature, expense reports, etc.
  • Coordinate global travel arrangements for maximum cost effectiveness to include processing visa applications and adhering to security travel advisories
  • Schedule appointments and coordinates department's or manager's interface with other company organizations, clients, and external groups
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
  • Prepare correspondence, communication, presentations, and other documents and ensure meeting deadlines.
  • Manage diary of three (3) Executives.
  • Manage email traffic and ensure relevant Executive responds to priority emails.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Strong organisational skills are essential in this role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
  • Certificate in office or project or related administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Other Job Requirements
  • Participate in department meetings, training, and functions
  • Serve as a Company representative to external clients
  • Participate in Fluor Universityxc2xae for training and career development
  • Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
