Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:The Executive Director has overall responsibility for the management of the Space Science Programme, ensuring it is appropriately positioned on a sustainable basis to deliver strategic programmes for the benefit of the sectors, markets and communities that it serves. The Executive Director is also a Member of the organisations Executive Team and as such shares a collective responsibility for the strategic oversight of the organization.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASKPA 1: Strategy Planning, Development and ImplementationKPA 2: Operations ManagementKPA 3: Business DevelopmentKPA 4: People ManagementKPA 5: Financial ManagementKPA 6: Corporate GovernanceKPA 7: Stakeholder ManagementKPA 8: Space Science ResearchKPA 9: General ManagementEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A PhD degree in a relevant Space Science field
- An MBA will be an added advantage
- At least ten (10) years experience at senior management level in the Space Science environment
- Three (3) to five (5) years experience at executive management level
