  • Review and integrate the Absa Payments Strategy and the EB Business Strategy, including the Distribution Strategy, to support the development of the EB Payments Strategy in collaboration with CVM, Payments and Strategy, EB Products, and EB Channels (both Digital and Integrated Channels).
  • Consume the regulatory and other strategic payments inputs from the xe2x80x9cCVM, Payments and Strategyxe2x80x9d BU teams
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure effective payment product strategies that meet market demands and drive innovation;
  • Cascade into a comprehensive payment operations strategy aligned with group payments initiatives and incorporating an EB digitisation roadmap;
  • Define and socialise an EB Payments Roadmap
Value Chain orchestration
  • Stakeholder Management for internal (including the EB Exco) and external to EB and Absa
  • Orchestrate the Everyday Banking Value Chain to ensure integrated execution of all EB Payments activities, cohesive Payments stakeholder engagements, clarity of focus and mandates for the various EB Payments Stakeholders.
  • Lead stakeholder communication
Payments Performance
  • Interrogate Financial analysis and holistic Payments performance for Everyday Banking;
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand commercial implications and projected trends to allow for pro-active risk mitigation.
Data Analytics
  • Set the direction and business requirements for EB Payments analytics including rail health
  • Develop a comprehensive Payments data view consuming from the group data-mart to provide an encompassing EB payment insights view (based on relevant EB payment types / rails) which will support and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Strategic Commercialisation Opportunities:
  • Leverage analytics and payment data to identify and support unlocking of strategic payment commercialization opportunities, reporting on performance for Everyday Banking.
Payments Operations
  • Oversee Payments Operations on behalf of Product and collaborate with Channel (Digital and Integrated Channels) on Payments Operations
Payments Monitoring
  • Establish and continuously monitor the EB Payments health, risk, and regulatory compliance to ensure operational effectiveness and performance.
  • Implement robust payments operations governance frameworks through comprehensive reporting and control mechanisms that support effective decision-making.
Payments Change
  • Coordinate the Change prioritisation effort and manage the Payments Change process with oversight over the dedicated Payments Change team.
  • Structure resourcing for ongoing Payments optimisation to deliver against the Payments Roadmap versus Strategic Payments Initiatives which are structured as Book of Work initiatives
  • Support decision making on Book of Work prioritisation
Payments Governance
  • Lead the EB Payments governance forums and represent EB on group forums;
  • Obtain input from stakeholders on emerging risks and mitigation strategies;
