Our Client, a food manufacturing company based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has a vacancy for an Engineering Manager

Job Duties:
 
Process Improvements
Identifies problem areas and concerns and develops appropriate strategies to address then. Communicates to the management for approval of action plan
Carries out the plan upon approval and regularly communicates status, issues and concerns.
Monitors the results from the onset other revised process to analyse possible improvements /enhancements to the activities.
Provides further corrective actions in order to maintain or maximise efficiency and resolve any new underlying issues
Support the day-to-day engineering support and sustaining services in the operation line (assembly), monitors, analyses, and institutes corrective solutions to problems related to yield and equipment performance in order to help achieve safe and high-quality products.
Provide ad update procedure, establish SOP’s and oversee the correct implementation of these and other documents in order to ensure the smooth and maximum safety of production & plant operations.
Support Safety programs/ Promotions/ projects as promulgated by the management including Safety Awareness.
Generate monthly reports on man-hours, overtime hours and work orders.
Provide other reports as and when needed by management.
Supervise engineering custodian, Electrical team, mechanical team and Refrigeration.
Large working capacity to operate on heavy duty industrial task.
Understand a high standard of industrial safety concern (WHS/OHS) in workplace (Safety Frist).
Preform visual inspection of fire detection, alarm and suppression system when installed.
Coordinates and inspect major contract work on electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related system in all areas of Plant
Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed.
Thorough knowledge pf the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
 
Quality Standards
Confers regularly with production and maintenance team on errors in process/ causes of delay in production line.
Conducts autonomous inspections and advise section leaders/operatives on corrective actions.
Ensures that production processes are aligned so that design specification for finished products are met.
Interacts with concerned departments for design, standard, or tooling modification.
Meets with team to communicate Company Policies and Procedures on Quality Assurance/Control.
 
Resource Utilizations
Supervises the proper allocation of material to each work section and ensures proper usage of consumables.
Assigns work accordingly to maximise usage of time per shift.
Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor for scheduling of preventive maintenance of each machine and whole production line.
Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor in case of sudden breakdown of machine for repair.
Organise the proper safekeeping of the tools and damaged machine parts and delivery to maintenance for repair.
Review periodic utilisation reports pf all critical machines and initiate remedial actions to improve the efficiency of under-utilised machines (if any)
Monitors the machine and equipment maintenance and approves any major maintenance purchase.
 
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance
Explain safe working practices and submit recommendations at safety meetings.
Review natures of accidents and employee accident history and initiatives preventive actions
Explain safe material handling methods for machineries.
Skills and Qualifications:
Licensed Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electro Mechanical Engineering
Must have 5-8 years of experience in FMCG of which Last 3 years in Management Position
Work Timing: As per Saudi Labour Law
