Job Description
Job Summary Checking, specifying and performance of MTO by discipline, materials of construction, type, size, and commodity for structural, mechanical, plate-work & piping approved for construction drawings Expediting all materials to the agreed schedule and escalating where necessary Managing product lead-time requests from sales promptly for delivery assurance on time and within budget Controlling top-level product stock-holding settings and lead-times communication back to HQ Working with QS to check for budget, then Purchasing and Planning Regularly reviewing supplier order backlog reports and updating the ERP system as necessary, communicating any potential issues to Production Planning and Buyers Reviewing Material Resource Planning Reviewing outstanding orders daily and progressing these with the relevant suppliers Maintain supplier price list information Maintain system lead-time information Obtain compliance data from suppliers Be able to provide a high level of quality cover or safety in loading assistance to the buyers if / where necessary Be able to provide full cover for the Production Planning function where necessary. A proven record with contactable references.
