duar ltd is seeking an experienced Exploration Geologist to join team. The work in Juba South Sudan! As an Exploration Geologist, you will play a vital role in the discovery and evaluation of mineral resources. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing exploration programs, conducting geological surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and providing recommendations for further exploration and development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and utilize your expertise to contribute to the growth and success of the company's mining operations.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute exploration programs to identify and evaluate potential mineral deposits
Conduct geological surveys, including mapping, sampling, and geophysical surveys
Analyze geological data and interpret findings to identify exploration targets
Collect and manage geological samples and maintain accurate records
Utilize geological software and tools to analyze and model geological data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement exploration strategies
Prepare technical reports, including geological maps, interpretations, and recommendations
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in exploration techniques
Adhere to safety and environmental regulations during exploration activities
Requirements
Bsc Degree in Geology or relevant field
Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in Exploration Geology
Exploration field work experience including geological mapping, exploration sampling (incl. soil, rock, drill core), geophysics and remote sensing.
Exploration field work experience in management including drilling supervision, core logging and sampling.
Proficiency in 3D Modelling, Leapfrog and Micromine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel and work in remote locations
Valid driver's license
