FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

Comply with all Customer rules and procedures when operating at Customer sites Assist the Explosives Controller to conduct routine fault finding, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs on the MMU process plant and chassis Assist the Site Administrator with stock control Load and unload the MMU with the correct raw materials. Unload raw materials (emulsion Matrix and Expan tankers). Cleaning and decontamination of MMU. Identification of any abnormal conditions on the MMU and within the work area and reporting thereof to the Explosives Controller and/or Site Supervisor. Maintain ownership of bulk explosives MMU by conducting good housekeeping of the cab, chassis and plant. Minimize and clean up any raw material spillage and dispose of any spillage in the correct waste streams. Ensure correct PPE is used is in good condition and is correctly worn at all times. Housekeeping of work area. Identify workplace hazards and associated risks and deal with it appropriately ( Hirac & Risk Assessment). Knowledge of relevant hand tools. Knowledge of emergency procedures. Comply to the Mine`s safety and health procedures. Attend to mines induction training. Maintain basic safety, health and environment issues. Assess the product application practices. Identify incorrect product application practices. Demonstrate and coach the correct practices.

Minimum Requirements and Experience:

Must have Grade 12. 1-2 years' experience in the mining or similar environment. Possession of a valid code C Driver's license.

Advantageous

Blasting Assistant Certificate. Competency A Certificate.
