Eastern Cape, Port ElizabethMonthly Cost To Company (Market related)Our client based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ External Sales Consultant.Salary:

• Basic R8 180.00
• Vehicle allowance R3 610.00
• Commission on sales

Requirements:

• The position requires an incumbent to have their own reliable and roadworthy transportation which is available for use at all times, valid driver's license and cellphone.
• Grade 12 high school certificate.
• Previous experience in a sales function essential.
• Previous experience in health and safety role or personal protective equipment industry advantageous.
• Willingness to travel regionally on a weekly basis.
• Minimum three contactable references of supervisor / manager.
• Ability to demonstrate alignment with businesses code of ethics and organisational culture.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

• Maintain relationship with allocated customer base primarily by means of conducting regular on-site customer visits.
• Draft a quarterly customer call schedule for all customers split by geographical location.
• Customer call schedule to be kept reflecting upcoming weekxe2x80x99s activity as well as an actual call report reflecting daily activity. These plans are to be completed and reviewed weekly.
• Assist customers select products based on the customerxe2x80x99s needs, product specifications and regulations.
• Answer customerxe2x80x99s questions about prices, availability and product uses.
• Provide customers with quotations upon request which are based on their needs and budget.
• When issuing quotations, the sales representative is to negotiate prices and terms of sale.
• Follow up with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their purchases and the level of customer service.
• Identification of prospective customers.
• Submit sales orders to internal sales consultants for processing.
• Follow up with the internal sales consultant once sales order has been submitted to ensure the customer receives their order in the shortest time period possible and an exceptional level of service is maintained.
• To assist with telephone and counter customer sales orders and enquiries.
• To assist with stock take when required by Management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information and ensure provision of exceptional customer service.
• Fulfill administrative duties such as completion and submission of monthly/weekly customer call plans and call reports.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service to customers at all times, this may mean assisting customers beyond specified working hours or within designated lunch and tea times.
