Job Summary International industrial transmissions company is looking for an External Sales Rep for their branch in Cape Town, to cover the Western Cape region. Applicants must have proven related technical sales experience, preferably in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Salary Package Structure: * Market related basic +commission +medical aid +provident fund * Additional benefits - company car, cellphone, laptop Requirements: * Technical sales experience e.g. gearboxes, motors, drives, pumps, valves, instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics, seals etc. * Knowledge of any of the following industries - mining, petrochemical, FMCG, pulp and paper, water and waste water, power generation, agriculture etc. * Cape Town based * Matric minimum, tertiary qualification advantageous * Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Ability to understand and communicate technical information effectively * Proven computer skills - MS Office, SAP, CRM etc. * Fluent in Afrikaans Duties and Responsibilities: Sales responsibilities * Identify, analyse and rank existing and new customers in terms of class (end user or OEM) application, and current and future business potential * Set up and execute call plans to ensure effective management of customers * Identify new business opportunities with specific focus on developing new OEM business * Follow up on new opportunities and sales leads * Actively follow up on sales performance to ensure sales budgets are met * Carry out after hours on call duties (rotational basis) * Attend marketing and sales functions as required Technical responsibilities * Understand power transmission formulae and utilise for the selection of equipment * Continue to acquire in-depth knowledge of the company's products * Acquire a knowledge of applications and understand their impact on the selection of equipment * Carry out site meetings to evaluate applications or to solve operating problems * Carry out necessary calculations for sizing, recommendation and selection of equipment * Acquire a knowledge of SAP system to be able to verify the status and availability of stock Admin responsibilities * Prepare and submit call plans and call reports * Maintenance of customer database * Prepare quotations using Salesforce * Enquire into and confirm the delivery status of equipment * Process and follow up on sales orders * Attend periodic stock counts Contact Scott on 0117041302McKessar RecruitmentRandburg2-10RecruiterAboutWe are specialist recruiters in the following industries : 1.) high speed packaging (FMCG), 2.) plastics packaging and 3.) industrial pumps and valves.
