We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced External Sales Representative with a proven track record. Primary responsibility will be for growing the market share of our WireWall security fencing brand. This will involve building relationships with Architects, Developers, Quantity Surveyors, Construction companies and Engineers.

For the past 60 years, Meshco has been manufacturing quality wire products for its Customers. Your work will enable the development of your province, country, and the rest of the world. Our products are found here and overseas in stadiums and bridges, they hold up the fresh produce that grace our tables, they keep miners safe underground, and our fencing products secure those who matter to you most. More likely than not, when you see a fence or concrete structure in Cape Town; our products are involved.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
xc2xb7 Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
xc2xb7 Drive sales and grow the client base
xc2xb7 Identify and expedite Branding Opportunities
xc2xb7 Generate new leads and build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and future business
xc2xb7 Provide exceptional customer service by addressing enquiries, concerns, and after-sales support promptly and professionally
xc2xb7 Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing, product availability, and timely deliveries
xc2xb7 Follow up with clients to gather feedback and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
xc2xb7 Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, reports, and activity logs
xc2xb7 Ability to track, record, follow-up and feedback the status of previous leads
xc2xb7 Present regular sales performance reports to the sales manager and contribute to sales forecasting
xc2xb7 Continuously upskill on product and industry knowledge
Minimum Requirements:
xc2xb7 Matric and Related Tertiary Certificate / Diploma
xc2xb7 3 years of proven experience as an External Sales Representative
xc2xb7 Own a reliable car and a valid driver's license
xc2xb7 Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office suite)
xc2xb7 Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
xc2xb7 Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
xc2xb7 A self-motivated and proactive approach to generating leads and closing deals
xc2xb7 Knowledge of wire products is an added advantage
xc2xb7 Practical approach to problem-solving
xc2xb7 Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced sales environment
xc2xb7 Willingness to work over weekends (from time to time) for Expos and demo opportunities
xc2xb7 Willingness to travel within the designated sales territory
