External Trial Officer: Professional Vegetables
Job Description
A local subsidiary of a highly respected international seed company is seeking a External Trial Officer: Professional Vegetables.Do you have a BSc Degree in Plant Production/Plant Science/Plant Pathology or similar field of study? Do you have a passion for Agriculture?You will join our hard-working team that loves working with vegetables, the focuses on introducing new vegetable varieties into the market. You will follow the requirements defined by the Product Specialist and Sales team in conjunction with the greater international company group.You will contribute to the agricultural community by being a solution for the future. Become the professional you are meant to be.Your main tasks will be:
- Seasonal trial planning and implementation
- Trial layout planning
- Evaluation of Trials
- Present data to product development team.
- Maintain regular contact with sales representatives and clients to ensure trials are managed successfully and evaluated on time.
- Packing and shipment of trial seeds
- Crop Management
- Work flexible hours
- Travel extensively across South Africa early mornings/late afternoons/evenings
- Overnight if operational required (B&B/Guesthouses)
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives and clients
- Work independently and contribute to a team
- BSc Degree in Agriculture
- Basic knowledge of irrigation, crop protection and nutrition.
- Computer literacy (intermediate)
- Valid Code 8 driver's license
