It is our mission to further the University's objective of excellence in research, scholarship, and education by publishing worldwide.Facilities Assistant(Permanent position)Oxford University Press is recruiting for a Facilities Assistant who will be responsible for maintaining general office cleanliness and distribution of refreshments with the facilities team to provide a pleasant working environment for all staff.The Facilities Assistant will be reporting to the Facilities Manager. This post is based in Goodwood, Cape Town.Principal Accountabilities: * Office cleanliness maintained: clean and tidy offices and meeting room, bathrooms and kitchen areas.

  • Maintain stock of canteen and cleaning supplies: sufficient supply of canteen and cleaning supplies
  • Manual handling: moving and packing of office boxes and furniture, ad hoc minor general maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (NQF 4)
  • Experience in facilities environment
  • Knowledge of Manual handling and health and safety
  • Valid drivers license (advantageous)
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Previous minor maintenance experience (advantageous)
