Role PurposeWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator Intern to join our team in the financial services industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in facilities management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of our facilities department, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.
Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Business Administration, and/or Engineering.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations is an advantage.
  • You will be required to work on standby as and when required.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing daily facilities operations, including maintenance, repairs, and office moves.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Help manage inventory of office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper functioning.
  • Support with the coordination of safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Assist in the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service requests.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with producing progress performance and activity reports.
  • Report on SLA performance of vendors.
  • Assist in incident management and reporting.
  • Leverage digital platforms to improve communication with vendors, and data analysis for optimizing resource allocation.
  • Assist in researching and supporting the implementation of sustainable solutions for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and eco-conscious procurement.
