The role will be based in Montague Gardens Distribution Centre, Cape Town and will report to the Facilities Manager.Job descriptionJob Purpose: Effectively manage company assets. Provide a safe working environment at all sites. To control & manage all contractors/service providers service delivery, financial and contract compliance. This relates to the Montague Gardens Distribution Centre.Job Objectives:xc2xb7 Effective management of Facilities, Contractors & Service Provider Staff and all resources and aspects relating to these departments at MGDC sitexc2xb7 Assist implementation of complete safety policies and committees in accordance with OHSActxc2xb7 Building and maintaining of process and procedures of each role within the departmentxc2xb7 Ensure functionality of the DC and office blocksxc2xb7 To implement a pro-active land and building maintenance programxc2xb7 Ensure accurate and up to date Databases are maintained Continuous improvement of the data captured, stored and reportedxc2xb7 Administration & Management of the Facilities and 4Me for services & facilities; in order to provide management with effective and accurate reportingxc2xb7 Effective management and training of the staffxc2xb7 KPA's to be completed for all staff timeously, with indicated needs for training and development, performance managementxc2xb7 Ensure professional and efficient customer contactxc2xb7 Provide monthly reports to the Department Headxc2xb7 Cost Centre accountability and managementMinimum requirementsQualifications and Experience:xc2xb7 Grade 12 (Essential)xc2xb7 Tertiary Education in a similar field (Prefarrably in Facilities management, building, Sustainability, property or construction).xc2xb7 Min 5 years experience in a Managerial position (Essential).xc2xb7 5 Years experience in a Facilities Management Environment (Prefarrably in a warehouse/DC environment)..
