With a rich heritage and a commitment to excellence, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to join our team in Durban.Job Summary:The Factory Manager will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of production staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in factory management, be fluent in Pastel accounting software, and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.Key Responsibilities:- Operations Management: Oversee all factory operations, including production planning, quality control, and maintenance.- Team Leadership:Lead, train, and motivate a team of production workers, supervisors, and support staff.- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet our high standards of quality and safety.- Inventory Control:Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure timely ordering of raw materials.- Budget Management:Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.- Reporting: Generate and analyze production reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.- Software Utilization:Utilize Pastel accounting software for inventory management, financial reporting, and other administrative tasks.Qualifications:-Education: Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Manufacturing, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a factory management role, preferably in the food, spice or rice industry.- Skills:- Proficiency in Pastel accounting software is mandatory.- Strong leadership and team management abilities.- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of production management, quality control, and health and safety regulations.What We Offer:- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunity to work with a leading brand in the spice & rice industry.- A supportive and dynamic work environment.- Opportunities for professional growth and development.How to Apply:Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and why they are the ideal fit for this position to info@osw.co.zaOsman's Spice Works (PTY) LTD is an equal opportunity employer.
