Duties/Pligte



Responsible for the effective administration of the Telematic Education (non-residential students) office in support of the following: Coordinating and supporting student application processes. Registration of successful applicants. Updating and maintaining student records. Updating the student database for management information. Effective administration of office processes and filing of records. Managing invigilators and test/exam venues, for adherence to quality assurance standards. Managing the dispatch of test/examination paper coordination and distribution to invigilators. Managing the secure collection and dissemination of test / examination scripts from test / examination centres. Managing the administration of payments to invigilators. Coordinating the distribution of prescribed textbooks and module readers to non-residential students through courier services. Coordinating and administrating student selection, review and appeal boards. Managing the administration, coordination and logistical arrangements for postgraduate contact weeks and Telematic Education contact weeks. Assisting with examination preparations. Uploading student bursaries.
Verantwoordelik vir die effektiewe administrasie van die kantoor vir Telematiese Onderwys (nie-residensiele studente) ter ondersteuning van die volgende: Koordineer en ondersteun studente se aansoekprosesse. Registrasie van suksesvolle aansoekers. Opdatering en instandhouding van studenterekords. Opdatering van die studentedatabasis vir bestuursinligting. Effektiewe administrasie van kantoorprosesse en indiening van rekords. Bestuur van toesighouers en toets-/eksamenlokale, vir die nakoming van gehalteversekeringstandaarde. Bestuur die versending van toets-/eksamenvraestelkoordinering en -verspreiding aan toesighouers. Bestuur die veilige versameling en verspreiding van toets-/eksamenskrifte vanaf toets-/eksamensentrums. Bestuur die administrasie van betalings aan toesighouers. Koordineer die verspreiding van voorgeskrewe handboeke en module lesers aan nie-residensiele studente deur koerierdienste. Koordinering en administrasie van studente keuring, hersiening en appelrade. Bestuur die administrasie, koordinering en logistieke reelings vir nagraadse kontakweke en kontakweke van Telematiese Onderwysstudente. Hulpverlenings met eksamen voorbereidings. Oplaai van studente beurse.



Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
At least five years' administrative experience within the Department of Defence. A post school qualification. Good computer skills with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good language skills in English.
Minstens vyf jaar se administratiewe ervaring binne die Departement van Verdediging. 'n Na-skoolse kwalifikasie. Goeie rekenaarvaardighede met die MS Office pakket, insluitend Word, Excel en PowerPoint. Goeie taalvaardighede in Engels.


Recommendation/Aanbeveling
A relevant tertiary qualification. Good language skills in other relevant languages. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function in a team.
