Farm Manager / Production Manager - RobertsonFull job descriptionFARM MANAGER / PRODUCTION MANAGER(Wine grapes, stone fruit and citrus)TO APPLY, FOLLOW THE LINK: https://forms.gle/G3hNEseKBGTrgPH48Our client, an established farming business in the picturesque region of Robertson in the Western Cape, is currently seeking an energetic, resourceful and well-organised Farm Manager / Production Manager to lead their daily farming operations.REQUIREMENTS:A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferredAt least 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar positionIn-depth knowledge of sustainable farming practices and pest managementWorking knowledge of mechanical systems will be advantageousProficiency in farm management software and basic computer literacyStrong leadership and management skills to effectively supervise and motivate staffExcellent communication and interpersonal skills in Afrikaans and EnglishMedically fit and mobileA valid code EC (14) driverxe2x80x99s licenceRESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the farm, ensuring efficient and effective management of all agricultural activitiesDevelop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity and profitability while maintaining sustainable farming practicesManage and supervise farm staff, providing training and guidance to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standardsMonitor crop health and implement pest and disease control measures to ensure high-quality yieldsCoordinate planting, harvesting, and post-harvest activities, ensuring timely and efficient operationsMaintain and operate farm machinery and equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs are conductedManage budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective resource utilisationLiaise with suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operationsKeep abreast of the latest agricultural trends and technologies to implement innovative solutions on the farmFree on-site accommodation will be provided.Please note that only shortlisted candidates are contacted.For general inquiries, please contact WorkWell Recruitment at recruitment@workwellpsych.co.zaJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
