Job Description


Stunning 5 Star Safari Lodge is looking for a F&B MANAGERCandidate requirements:

  • Relevant Hospitality qualifications are essential
  • Experience working as a Head Chef is beneficial
  • Must have at least 6 years of experience in Food and Beverage in a luxury environment (preferably in Safari Lodges)
  • Must have an understanding of dietary requirements including Halaal, Vegan, etc
  • Proven experience experience managing a diverse team with a hands-on approach
  • Impeccable understanding of Food and Beverage trends and the ability to keep up with these, even in remote areas
  • Knowledge of stock management
  • Understanding of financials (cost of sales/profit margins, budgets, creditors etc)
  • The ability to train and mentor staff, do staff appraisals and performance reviews as well and handle disciplinary procedures as and when needed
  • Be guest-focused and be able to create unforgettable guest experiences
  • Solid knowledge of wines, foods, and beverages
  • Be able to implement and maintain Food and Beverage procedures, SOP's etc
