About the role GVI is looking for a FGASA Qualified Groups Program Facilitator to assist in providing incredible experiences to the leaders of tomorrow. You'll do this by working with our global teams to facilitate Under 18 Group Expeditions as they work on sustainable development projects in the Greater Kruger. Contract Duration June 2024 - August 2024 Role and responsibilities:
Supporting the Groups Team in the running of group programs.
Assisting with project work including planning sessions.
Managing the groups on a day to day basis, ensuring they have a positive experience.
Interacting with local partners for certain activities.
Delivering presentations and training relevant to the project activities.
Acting as an enthusiastic role model for participants and providing guidance and mentorship.
Working with the team to ensure the program operates to a high standard and all health and safety protocols are followed.
Ensuring all health and safety policies are adhered to
Ensuring all equipment is maintained throughout each expedition
Additional social media responsibilities where relevant

FGASA qualification and all necessary certificates to legally operate as a field guide
1-2 years experience working in the field (preferably African wildlife)
Be a South African citizen/resident or have a South African visa in place
Have a SA driver's license - Code 08/EB (including the ability to tow a trailer)
Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Experience working with international volunteers
Groups and volunteer management experience
Fluency in English
Advantageous:
A conservation or education-related degree or qualification
Trained in First Aid
