Job Summary

Providing an interpretive safari experience on game drive and / or walks daily;
Hosting the guests for the duration of their stay at the lodge;
Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests while on safari;
Coordination extra quests activities on the reserve;
Safari experience / activities for children xe2x80x93 kiddies drive, fishing and other specific activities that form part of our childrenxe2x80x99s program at the lodge;
Assisting with transfers of guests/staff;

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
Flexibility xe2x80x93 adapt successfully to changing situations and environments;
Attention to detail;
High energy levels & drive to get things done;
Planning & organizing xe2x80x93 plan activities and carry them through effectively;
Excellent driving skills;
An appreciation of other cultures. Ability to speak and/or understand another language would be an advantage;
Computer literate
Fluent in English (speak, read and write) and excellent literacy skills (writing of emails, viewing web pages)

Qualifications and experience required:

Minimum 3 & xc2xbd years guiding experience in a Big 5 reserve with in a similar lodge environment
FGASA level 2 qualification
Full Trails Guide qualification
SASSETA certificate
Valid PDP
Valid Code 08 Driversxe2x80x99 License
DEAT registered
THEATA registered
First Aid level 1/2/3
Rifle competency xe2x80x93 with the 3-unit standards
Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH)
