Fiber Team Leader & Supervisor

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise on-site fiber optic operations, including installation and maintenance
- Perform fiber optic splicing, cable installation, and fault repairs
- Rehabilitate and maintain fiber optic infrastructure
- Conduct route surveillance and physical audits to ensure security and functionality
- Use OTDR for regular fiber core health assessments
- Schedule and carry out preventive maintenance and improvements
- Support network issue resolution and provide remote support to the second-line team
- Oversee surveys for new connections and ensure timely link restoration
- Maintain detailed system records and ensure clear site labeling
- Senior Certificate (essential)
- 10+ yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Valid Driverxe2x80x99s License and own transport
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Fiber Optic Specialist (FOA) certification
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective relationship-building
